day 5 at rehoboth beach
Modern Touch is the collaborative re-imagining of a classic Dogfish Head beer that was brewed with help from our friends from The Veil Brewing Co. in Richmond, Virginia. Picture this … Midas Touch meets a modern, hazy IPA. That’s Modern Touch! A fusion of flavors, aromas and sensations, we double dry-hopped this brew with Citra, Mosaic, Azacca and Vic Secret hops for a beer that’s deeply tropical and deceptively drinkable.
day 3 at rehoboth beach
Faithful Companion is a light and refreshing ale steeped in tradition and goodness. This summer pleasure smells of inviting citrus and light caramel, offering the promise of great flavor to come. It’s light on the palate with an artfully balanced blend of caramel malt sweetness, citrusy hop and easy bitterness, and has a clean, dry finish.
“little bird” / wood-aged bitches brew \ american brown ale weighty bricks / lavender-honey cupcake \ kale salad / memorable!
<This American brown ale is brewed from North American pale ale malt, Crystal Red Rye malt, chocolate malt and honey malt, and is amply dry-hopped with a variety of Denali hops. Its luscious malt character and bright citrus accents are layered with flavors of cocoa-dusted almonds and raisins. Speaking of raisins, much of Weighty Bricks’ flavors and aromas come from special varietal raisins we sourced from a small family farm in California. Made from Timpson grapes, these raisins are sun dried and hand tended to ensure deep flavors that are bursting with rich, wine-like character.>
waited an hour for our table / texas indie band “madisons” \ fresh cadet had a nice wheat flavor / food was not as good as the great thai & vietnamese cuisine that we had been enjoying in the past days \ but music was great!
the dogfish pub at rehoboth beach was totally redone / the old pub is now the merchandise shop \ the new pub has a stage for live music on fridays & saturdays / the board which lists the drinks is now digital \ the dining booths are hobbit-like / the ceiling is high \ the overall look is industrial / not cozy like the old pub but okay / had the very drinkable “primary caregiver” at lunch
after a string of bad beers in the past few weeks, so glad to see past favorites that are now available / my bartender also gave me the calendar of dogfish beer releases so i know when favorites & new dogfishes are coming out 😊
happy to support local perry ny brewery via kickstarter!
